MIRUS Connect Product Description:
MIRUS Connect is our polling service to collect data from your store systems. Flexibility is a
key for this solution; you can license software Connect and operate it yourself, or take advantage
of our service offering to manage your polling operation. MIRUS Connect extracts data from your
store systems, encrypts it for security, compresses it for speed, and transmits the data to the
MIRUS data center for processing on a schedule you set – from up-to-the-minute to daily. MIRUS
Connect is bi-directional and can distribute files down to your stores for POS and back office
updates.

Business Problem:
An upscale restaurant and bar concept with 26 stores across major markets in the US
as well as Mexico City and Puerto Rico had experienced interruptions and delays in polling and
data transport of sales from its units. In addition, it was not consolidating
and integrating information across its various systems including point
of sale, labor and inventory management. This caused the consolidation
of period reporting to be both time consuming and difficult.

MIRUS Solution:
MIRUS Connect was implemented in all units and interfaced with
the customer's existing point-of-sale systems, Squirrel and POSitouch. In addition, MIRUS
captured data from the customer's existing labor and inventory
(Restaurant Magic) systems and consolidated it all in one engine. This
gives the chain daily access from anywhere to all of the information they
need to make timely decisions and impact profitability. On an ongoing
basis, all stores are continuously monitored to ensure connectivity and
uninterrupted data transport.

Customer Selection of MIRUS:
MIRUS was selected by The Palm, because of the strong
performance of MIRUS Connect and MIRUS Intelligence as well as the company's
thorough understanding and expertise in building enterprise models for casual and
fine dining restaurant chains.
Given that The Palm's units are geographically diverse, polling
irregularities had made the information gathering process difficult. MIRUS
took over the polling of units with the goal of making it faster,
easier and more reliable than ever before. The goal was to have reports
far more quickly than in the past and the drill-down capability has provided
the company with richer, more detailed information.
MIRUS has allowed Palm decision-makers access to unprecedented data, both in
breadth (sales, cash, labor, food cost, frequent diner club) and detail (check-level transactions).
The system has dramatically improved their operating efficiencies across the board.
